So What Do Dreams Mean, Anyway?

Dream interpretation is a topic that’s been plumbed for eons. It’s been studied by the great shamans and druids, the Christian clergy, the New Agists and every student of psychoanalysis since its inception. There are tons upon tons of charts, symbolist theories, and various and sundry opinions about the meanings of every type of dream one could have.

So if you were to ask any of these web hosts what your dreams mean in any direct sense, the best answer would probably be “I don’t know what YOUR dreams mean, but here are a few methods to find out.?”

Here are a few methods to interpret dreams that are far, far more reliable than I would be directly:

The Web: There are tons of websites that address the symbols common in dreams. Many of which get their information from any number of the aforementioned sources (psychology, mythology, etc.)

These sites operate under the assumption, of course, that dreams do have intrinsic meanings and, therefore, a lot of the information therein should be taken with a grain of salt.

Modern Psychology/ Astrology: if you have access to any psychologists or astrologists, they would easily be able to point you in the direction of resources to be able to determine what your dreams mean.

Depending on whether you trust the stars or the advent of modern psychology, you should be able to find some great materials from tapping those sources.

Common Sense: and of course there are some people who feel that your dreams are simple fantasy and, as such, need not be examined at all.

There are people in the world who are so focussed on the need for empirical evidence that dream meanings are deemed beneath them and, as such, these people would tell you that dreams are just dreams, no more; for those people, your dream of falling down a flight of stairs (which is among the most common dream themes) is simply a reflection of your being afraid of heights or something equally as sensible.

As You Are Probably Already Aware, Auto Insurance Is Mandatory

Let’s go over the most important factors that will bring your rates down the most.

* Drive a Vehicle that’s Cheap to Insure

While this might seem like common sense to you, surprisingly many people spend days and weeks shopping for the right car, without ever considering the cost of coverage. Stay away from vehicles that are sporty with powerful V8 engines. This means Corvette’s, Porsches and other high-performance cars. Also, take a couple of minutes and review the most stolen car list. You might be shocked that boring cars like Honda Accord’s make this list every year. You will pay about 20% more for insuring one of these cars thieves target the most. Stick to a slightly used car like a Subaru Forester, and you will have a super safe ride that’s also cheap to insure.

* Maintain a Good Credit Score

Carriers are putting a greater emphasis lately on a person credit score. The better your credit rating is, the less you will pay for coverage. The reasoning behind this is of course risk. People that are less risky financially are more likely to be more responsible drivers and not make reckless driving decisions. If you have a low score, take moves now to get it higher and also make sure there are not false items on your report that are dragging it down. Shoot for a credit score of 700 or more and insurers will offer you some sweet deals.

* Live in a Rural Area

If you are thinking of moving out of the city, then you might be pleasantly surprised that you can save more on auto insurance. Big cities that are congested naturally have higher rates because there are simply more cars on the road, which increases your chance of getting into an accident. Do a bit of research online, and you can save hundreds.

* Increase Your Deductible

This is a very easy tip that you should strongly consider and is something you can control 100%. Setting your deductible to a higher level, $1,000 or more, will save you on average about 10%. The catch is you will need to save all of this amount in case you do get into a crash and file a claim. If you have a really old car, older than 10 years, it’s not worth getting a high deductible because the value of your car might only be $2,000 or $3,000. On the other hand, if you have a new vehicle, you will be paying more for coverage, so this is a great way to get a price break.

* Drop Useless Coverage

If you are in the market for automobile insurance, then take a look at your old policy. Read it carefully and go over each item. Do you see any coverage that was not needed? If so, when you apply for future quotes, get rid of unneeded add-on items. For example, if your credit card company already has you covered for rentals, you do not need additional coverage from your carrier. The same goes for towing and roadside assistance if you have a plan with an A³ plan. Get the coverage you need and nothing more and save your hard earned money.

* Get as many Discounts as you can

Insurers want your business, and a common incentive most use to lure you in, are discounts. Most providers have multiple discounts available. Your job is to take advantage of each one you qualify for. Some of the offers vary but can be anywhere from 5% to more than 10%. Here a few of the most common.

1. Safe Driver

This means no or very few tickets and no accidents on record.

2. Low Mileage

If you drive fewer than 1,000 miles monthly, you can qualify.

3. Military

If you are currently an active military member of vet, you can save about 5%.

4. Good Student

Students who have and maintain a B or higher G-P-A can get discounts up to 10%.

5. Multi-Car and Home Bundling

Insurers want your business, and you can save some serious dough by bundling all your vehicles and home together with one company.

6. Enhanced Safety Features

If you have special safety enhancements on your vehicle like dual airbags, anti-lock brakes and a GPS-based security alarm, you can qualify for a big discount.

How Do You Define What a Good Mailing List Is? Part 1

Part 1

Many people worry about mailing lists, but you need to remember; With mailing lists is it not hard. There are a whole bunch of them to choose from. It truly depends on what you want to target. Say you are looking for pretty houses. And for the sake of argument let's say you are looking in the medium price range.

Here is some information for you. Know that 72% of the foreclosures in America Happen the first year of ownership. That is correct!

Did you really know that in the first two years of ownership and a large percentage (72%) of foreclosures happened in the first year? So homes where people have been in them for three or four years may or may not be as good as target as the people who have been in them less than a year. And you know there is a tunnel list you can get.

Do not forget about the military. Military is a good list for you to rent. Military homeowners are an easy list. Any list company can give you that. They are transient and they have to move. You will not get a lot of equity in them but it is easy equity. Be careful dealing with the military though make sure that the person that is in the military is not deployed and you are buying the house without an attorney involved. They have laws on that you know! Frankly if you are mailing out the yellow letter, it can be as simple as targeting the area where you want to do business knowing you are going to get a lot of calls and most of them are going to be wasted. But that is okay … you are only looking for the hand that pass through the screening.

You also would at least probably want to mail to people. You know, you could do a carrier route but that is cheap, you do not even have to buy stamps. I just would mail to the whole zip code if I was going to a carrier route.

You can spend the next two days creating lists, but you still would not get to the bottom of it. It really comes down to you having to decide … pick a couple three lists you want to mail to and try it, and see what is working the best and continue doing that. You are going to picking lists for quite awhile until you find out the ones that are most productive for you!

In part 2 we are going to dig deeper with lists. Get ready!

Evaluating Wrinkle Cream Brand Names Reviews

We all age and is completely natural process that begins since we are born, however there comes a time when unwanted wrinkles and other skin problems start to show up. Different anti aging treatments and wrinkle creams are available, but you have to be careful on what type of creams your use on your skin.

There are many wrinkle cream brand names that you can find on your favorite retail store or on the internet, however you must be careful not to choose just the most popular cream or the most known brand name cream, you should make your choice based on the results you can achieve and ingredients a cream contains.

Let me be clear, there are great wrinkle creams but most contain some type of cheap chemicals, additives or allergens that are not good for your skin, in fact the wrong ingredients can produce more wrinkles in the long term.

So before buying any brand name cream read reviews on forums, on or ask people you know what creams they have used successfully.

The best creams are those that only contain natural extracts that come from plants, herbs, honey, nuts, water and other natural sources.

On the other hand you should avoid substances like alcohol, fragrances, parabens, petroleum and many others, so is important to read the label of any cream that you want to buy and make sure that it only contain natural ingredients.

Even though some creams with harsh chemicals may work for a little while in the long term will harm more your skin. For example using a wrinkle filler that contains alcohol will dry up your skin and end up producing more wrinkles.

Choose only brand name creams that are safe to use in your skin, don’t fall for the hype of instant results, usually it will require a certain period of time to see gradual results in reducing wrinkles.

The Used BMW X5 Gains Favor

The BMW continues its dominance of luxury car markets the world over as more auto players enter the arena. Car technology has definitely changed exponentially in the last 50 years. With the entry of more auto manufacturers into the world market competition has intensified as each automaker attempts to prove themselves. While it is a true statement that most of these automakers have brought truly wondrous features to the cars they have produced, a few automakers continue to dominate the luxury divisions. One of them is the BMW. There are many brands of the BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke AG ) but one brand that has stirred attention is the x5 sports utility version.

A new x5 is a technological marvel. BMW was somewhat late in joining the SUV market but when it did, it represented itself well. This statement was solidly sent out through the X5 which is a next generation sport utility vehicle.

A new x5 can run up to $55000.00. This may be a hefty amount and due to the tough economic times, many are looking for bargain prices and have therefore settled for looking for a used BMW x5. The used versions can be equally delightful depending on the actual condition and the dealership. Car dealerships like CarMax take particular care to ensure that a used model fits the actual standards of quality. This means that extensive tests are run on the actual model to ensure that everything is in shape. A used BMW x5 can run you anywhere between $20,000 and $45000 depending on the features installed.

The x5 is usually 4-door and comes with standard SUV features. It has a v8 32v 8-cylinder engine which is primarily powered by gasoline. Hybrid brands are still in the works. The exterior deviates a little from the standard “Big Three” SUV models in that is appears to be more compact. It comes with a 5 -speed or automatic transmission that boasts dynamic stability allowing the passengers to experience some of the smoothest rides ever in the motoring world.

The interior comes with climate-controlled AC which employs computerized temperature-monitoring. This means that the front of the car can have an entirely different temperature setting from the rear seats. Some models come equipped with additional accessories such as an auxiliary DVD player with a screen which flips open much like the one inside an airplane. The sound system is Bose, which offers customers an added layer of luxury. The speakers are optical surround which is ideal for very high quality orchestra sound.

Other features include heated seats, dual temperature controls, cruise control and tinted windows. It also comes with anti-lock ABS brakes and dual airbags. Newer models also sport side airbags. Most features which come preinstalled in most high-end vehicles are also found standard in the X5 such as power steering, power windows, front and back wiper blades, automatic side mirrors and the like.

The best place to buy a used BMW x5 is at the local dealership. This is because of two things; One is that you are able to physically examine the vehicle and even conduct a test drive. Two is that you are able to take advantage of the service warranty that is offered. eBay is also another excellent place.

Why It’s Important to Keep Up With the News

Many people neglect the news and are unaware of what is going on in the world around them. This is a large mistake however and a good understanding of current affairs is actually crucial for many reasons. Here we’ll look at just why it’s so important to follow the news and why you should look for a news blog, website or news channel to provide you with regular updates.

Firstly the news can sometimes affect you. You might not think that news is constantly about crises in other countries, or things that have happened to other people, but more likely the news reflects a policy or government decision that will be utilising your tax money and that will affect your economy. The government is designed to work for us and this is the true idea of a democracy, however it’s the press and the blogs and news channels that allow us to actually see what the government are doing and that allow for democracy to work. People fought and died for freedom of speech and the freedom of the press that comes with it, and so to turn your back on it is a serious mistake. When it comes to an election, the news through the last few years should be the main thing influencing your decision.

At the same time the news can often affect you directly. For example the recent news of the ash cloud covering the sky meant that many flights had to be cancelled or couldn’t go ahead. However only those who read a news blog or watched a news channel would have known not to go ahead and book any last minute flights. Even on a more basic level, the news often includes the weather, and this will affect whether we get wet when we head outside or remember to bring an umbrella.

The news is also very important for conversation. If something big has happened in the news then this is a sure fire way to spark up a conversation with someone where there might otherwise have been an awkward silence. At the same time in a group of people talking about the news you won’t want to be the only one who isn’t aware of what’s going on as this can make you feel very isolated and out of touch. At the same time you might lose respect from the other people who value the news and current affairs more.

Of course the news is also just interesting and while there will be a lot you’re not interested in, there will always be something that catches your attention and that is related to one of the fields you find interesting. If you like celebrities and gossip then this always finds its way on to the news, while meanwhile you’ll also likely find information about sports and cutting edge science.

If you want to stay up to date with the news but struggle to find the time, new media technologies are now allowing many new methods to get quick and specific news updates meaning there’s really no excuse left for not knowing what’s going on in the world.

Curved decks don’t use your yard space in an excellent way, but a well-planned deck fits well in the limited area of your garden. In short, they add loads of beauty to your property. Wood decks – Benefits over other materials

The wooden variety holds multiple advantages over other deck building materials. Here are just a few of them:

  • Wood is strong and the most fitting material for deck building.
  • Wood has the capacity to bear extreme weather, including extreme heat and snowfall.
  • The upkeep cost is pretty low.
  • In comparison to other materials, wood appeals more to our eyes and senses.
  • Wood is a naturally safe material for deck building.

Volunteer in Costa Rica

There are many international volunteer organizations that offer volunteer abroad programs spanning the globe. One country that is guaranteed to be apart of these organizations selections is Costa Rica. Why is Volunteering in Costa Rica so popular? The reasons are many, but the most popular include its relative safety and the country's distinct geography and landscape. No one can doubt that Costa Rica is a beautiful country with just about all you can ask for with its volcanoes, pristine beaches, mountains, lakes and wildlife. Additionally, Costa Rica is one of the most developed countries in Latin America. It is, for example, the country where Intel produces it microprocessors, a country that leads the international tables in Coffee and Banana exports and the country that has the most stable government in a troubled region. So for such a comparatively developed nation, why does it attract so many volunteers?

We believe the reason is three-fold:

  1. The country is seen as a safe haven for travelers and volunteers who are new to Latin America. It is perceived as a place where one can familiarize them with Latino culture in relative safety and take Spanish language lessons, a needed skill for further travel on the continent.
  2. Costa Rica has numerous attractions such as: Montverde's cloud rain forest; Lake Arenal and its live volcano; Tortuguero and its turtles; A number of national parks and reserves; Abundant wildlife from north to south; And to top it all, it is a water lovers dream with numerous beaches and great surfing breaks.
  3. The country still struggles with funding for its acclaimed educational system, especially in rural areas. Thus, there are numerous schools and communities willing and eager to have the assistance of international volunteers who can contribute to their development.

Costa Rica certainly needs volunteers when you consider the shape of its educational system with respect to the western world. Volunteers may have their own unique reasons for taking a project in Costa Rica, but this disparity in education seems a sufficient incentive to do so. Things we take for granted such as adequate classrooms, water availability, footballs, structured and disciplined classes and even teachers themselves are not available to all schools.

Historically, Costa Rica had one of the best educational systems in the region. However, the structural adjustments program the nation underwent in the 70's is blamed for the budget cuts to public education. Quote from "The Ticos':

In 1978, 6.2 percent of the GDP was spent on schooling; in 1992, only 2.7 percent. In the same years the school systems share of the central government budget dropped from 31 percent to 18 percent. Even thinner. The population grew by more than 29 percent in the 80s, but per capita spending on public education declined by 35 percent "

As a result fewer new schools have been built and existing schools have not received the appropriate funds to be maintained effectively and repaired when required. Teaching materials are in short supply, and many teachers in rural areas have to buy material out of their own pockets. Consequently, parents have had to financially contribute to the schools of their children. Unfortunately, many parents in rural areas do not have the funds to support them and so the gap between rural schools and middle class public schools continues to widen.

Families in rural areas continuously hold fundraising events within their communities to raise extra money for their schools. In addition, many new teachers prefer to apply for positions in the better equipped and well-funded schools and neighborhoods. As a result, rural schools are left with few teachers, if they have teachers at all. In some rural schools it's not uncommon to have one teacher instruct all the grades of the school. Typically, teachers are even required to work in two or more separate schools from neighboring villages and towns.

In Costa Rica, even in the metropolis of San Jose, the countryside and rural areas are only a few kilometers away. As a result, rural schools are doted all over the country. It is in these schools where international volunteers in Costa Rica are primarily needed to extremely work and donate their time.

In conclusion, Costa Rica is a great destination and has a great need for international volunteer teachers. Unfortunately, the country's ruling bodies have neglected to promote this form of tourism and instead have opted to promote its pristine beaches, national parks and wildlife as the main reason for visiting Costa Rica. Neverheless, for international volunteer these are just additional benefits of volunteering in Costa Rica – the icing on the cake that makes Costa Rica an even greater location to volunteer.
